HAPPY NEW YEAR to all who are facing and beating cancer of any kind! Our bladder cancer "fraternity" did very well last year, zero recurrences and onlhy a couple of false alarms. Keep up the good work!
Next up for cysto is HK in Toronto on Friday, 19 January. HK has had a rough time of it, with lots of pain from procedures and a total inability to tolerate BCG treatments. Still he remains cancer free more than 9 years now (8 without BCG), and we are confident that the good news will continue on the 16th. He would certainly appreciate your prayers and good thoughts.
We may have a guest blog post coming soon from a cystectomy/prostatectomy survivor to show there is good news and good life quality (albeit with some struggles) even after radical surgery.
Have a cancer free new year and remember that LIFE IS GOOD!
My parents were from a generation that feared seat belts. In May of 2013 they were both ejected from their vehicle (my father would have said "thrown clear") and did not survive. People, if you are traveling over 35mph, WEAR YOUR SEAT BELTS!
